Cash Management and Information Services Product Manager, Vietnam
- To develop and manage the bank network via Correspondent bank and Non-bank partners
- To lead the innovation of the products/services via the network to ensure market leadership position
- To work together with other product team members and related units (Sales/Relationship Managers, Operation &Technology, Financial Controller, Legal and etc.) to set-up, roll out and manage new and existing products/services via the networks.
- Deliver the receivables product budget
- Develop a Sales strategy to prioritize opportunities
- Identify and establish product development opportunities
Principal responsibilities:
- Define, size and monitor bank network in terms of branches coverage, product/services development via the networks, service commitment of the network providers (banks and non-banks), internal set-up and service quality
- Develop and coordinate implementation of annual product marketing plans
- Establish strategies and ensure strict implementation across all customer segments
- Provide direction to the sales force in terms of customer targets and monitor progress versus plan
- Closely monitor competitive activities and plans and formulate our own initiatives via the networks to preempt the competition and ensure leading position in the market
- Initiate new and creative ways including marketing activities with network partners and customers to enhance existing and develop the networks and products/services launched via the networks and in connection with other product groups.
- Monitor profitability and service delivery
- Manage network/product costs and develop productivity programs in coordination with the operations group
- Develop network/product strategy plans
- Conduct market research of existing and new network and related products/services
- Develop target market customer list for product roll out; client targeting together with sales and RMs
- Closely working with local and regional product team in analyzing feasibility and penetrating new products introduced via the networks.
- Understand customers business flows and requirements in order to identify and satisfy customers’ needs and the bank’s return requirements
- Joining customer calls with Sales/Relationship Managers to understand customers’ requirements and identify opportunity
- Work with business partners for customer presentations
- Attending Regional product review and prepare regional reports
- Participate in Regional/ Global deals and meet all deadlines
- Disciplined handoff to implementation – deal review, deal activation
- Product management – develop product programs
- Network management – local and regional to source deals
- Participation in industry workshops, conferences and internal events.
Quantitative and qualitative requirements:
- Good communication skills of working with customers, managing relationships internally, with regulators and all network partners
- Possess thorough knowledge of cash products/services. Extensive knowledge across transaction services, for example cash management, securities and trade is preferable.
- Ability to work with regional partners to bring new solutions to market
- Ability to response to customer requirements/market demands in the form of new solution fit.
- Ability to participate in and coordinate of country deals.
Decision making:
- It involves decision-making and commercialization capabilities to decide the target group for the product being developed and also under the business risk & control matters.
- Keep abreast with respect customer and market needs taking into consideration the opportunity, scalability and “commercial ability”.
- Be decisive and owns the business P&L.
Difficulties, distastes and critical incidents:
- The position demands great attention to detail and ability to co-ordinate with all levels within the business;
- Speed of turnaround crucial in accomplishing task in a fast moving environment;
- Involves occasional travelling between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with long hours.

Bases for measuring performance
- Ensure that sales and relationship team have a clear and up to date understanding of the product being developed and commercialized
- Owned and managed product approval program and ensure timely review, update and approval to be in compliance with the bank’s product program policy.
- Appropriate marketing materials include presentation, fact sheets, proposal, and any other relevant information is up to date and readily available.

- Beside product development and commercialization skills, the position is able to identify key risk and control issues in risk-focused reviews and assist the countries to implement effective corrective action plans to resolve the related risk, control and regulatory concerns;
